Commonwealth Catholic Charities (CCC)

Offers specialized group counseling designed to reduce incidents of domestic violence by helping people recognize, understand, and cope with stressful situations.

Family Service of Roanoke Valley

Provides confidential, individual and family counseling, domestic violence treatment, teen outreach programs and anger management support groups. Also provides indivigual, group, maritial, and family therapy for women and children who have been a victim of abuse or neglect, or men and women who have been abusive and/or experiencing anger management problems. No fee. No age restrictions. Hours Monday-Friday, 8:15 am to 4:15 pm.

  • Victims are provided referrals to safe housing, to mental health and other human services, and to lawyers who volunteer their time to assist participants through crisis situations. No fee.

Turning Point: Salvation Army

Residential shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children, male children must be under 17. Offers crisis intervention, court advocacy, lawyer referrals and assistance with obtaining restraining orders. Open 24 hours, 365 days a year. Provides a 24 hour hotline.
